Course Introduction

To ensure that military training courses meet the demands of current educational reforms, enhance students' motivation and interest in choosing these courses, and meet the needs of the national defense reserve officer selection examination, the Military Training Department of the Ministry of Education has specially established courses in the fields of national security, military history, introduction to military science, defense technology, and military knowledge.

I. International Situation

This section mainly discusses regional security and the development of cross-strait relations, introduces the connotation and significance of the law of armed conflict, and cultivates students' macro-international perspective. It further explains important international security issues under the wave of globalization and Taiwan's response strategies to enhance awareness of potential threats and strengthen national defense consensus.

II. National Defense Policy
This section discusses the connotation of Taiwan's national defense policy and the development of its mainland policy, enabling students to understand the current national defense policy guidelines and enhance their knowledge of national defense security. It also introduces Taiwan's national security legal system and crisis management mechanisms, thereby recognizing the importance of national security and strengthening national defense awareness among all citizens.

III. National Defense

for All This section mainly discusses the concepts, connotations, and importance of national consciousness and national defense for all, and introduces the relationship between national defense and the economy, culture, and psychology, enabling students to understand that national defense affairs are closely related to daily life, strengthening national defense awareness, and enhancing national identity.

IV. National Defense Technology

This section enables students to gain a systematic understanding of weapons and weapon systems, as well as the new weapons developed and used by various countries around the world, and to learn about China's independent national defense system and achievements in national defense technology development, thereby inspiring young students' interest in participating in national defense technology research.

V. Defense Mobilization

This section explores the significance and function of national defense mobilization, clarifies its importance to national security, and introduces the connotation of youth service mobilization, allowing students to understand their role in the national defense mobilization system, thereby cultivating patriotism and deepening national defense consensus.
